Hip Flasks & Tankards
The classic gent's accessory, for out and about, at the races, fishing, or just a secretive tipple, our hip flasks are made from valuable pewter, an alloy consisting of at least 92% tin (and no lead) that was used as long ago as Ancient Egyptian times. More refined than stainless steel, easier to care for than silver (and not as expensive!), pewter is often used in jewellery and decorative pieces. Our range includes flasks in various sizes, patterns and shapes, plus flasks that can be engraved.
Pewter can be easily cared for by simply washing in hot, soapy water and drying with a soft cloth. If, over time, the pewter becomes dull, it can be cleaned with a metal polish before washing. Always polish in straight lines, not circles, for best results. Do not place in the dishwasher, as this will cause the pewter to become dull. Although scratches, dents and marks are the sign of a well travelled, oft used flask!
If you require an engraving, such as a logo, crest or badge, or anything intricate, please contact us for details and prices - the manufacturer has the facilities to create almost any design.
